In October 2011 , I have followed a Masterclass portrait modelling of four days with the British sculptor Luke Shepherd in Ashburton, South Devon. I mainly did this to further improve my observation skills and to learn more about his working procedure/method. This method balances the technical aspects with the creative. It enables the work to proceed without having to ‘undo’, which often causes the clay to be overworked.
